Children & Adolescents
We offer specialised psychological support for children and teens experiencing:

  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • Anxiety, depression, and mood concerns
  • Challenging behaviours and social struggles
  • School refusal and academic stress

Our therapy sessions are warm, engaging, and age-appropriate. We work collaboratively with parents and caregivers because we believe sustainable change happens through connected care. Where appropriate, we may also coordinate with teachers and schools to ensure a consistent support system.

Depending on your child’s age and presenting concerns, we may begin with a parent-only session to gather history and discuss your goals for therapy.

Couples Therapy
Couples come to therapy for many reasons, including:
  • Communication breakdown
  • Conflict and resentment
  • Emotional disconnection
  • Infidelity or trust issues
  • Illness and life stress

Our goal is to help couples reconnect and move forward as a team. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other proven methods, we work to:

  • Understand the deeper unmet needs beneath each partner’s reactions
  • Break negative cycles of conflict and disconnection
  • Foster emotional intimacy, trust, and open communication
  • Build a stronger, more resilient partnership

Couples therapy is a proactive way to improve your relationship, no matter where you’re starting from.

Assessments

Psychological assessments are conducted for many reasons. You might want to learn about your intellectual capacity, understand your child’s learning profile or behaviours, or you may be worried you have a memory or neurological impairment. We offer a range of assessment services, including cognitive, educational, neuro-developmental, and behavioural assessments.

Cognitive Assessments
Cognitive assessments are structured and standardised assessments administered by a psychologist to assist with understanding a person’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses in areas of verbal comprehension, non-verbal problem solving processing speed and working memory. You or your child may require a cognitive assessment if you are concerned about developmental delays, learning difficulties, or want to be assessed for giftedness.

Psycho-educational Assessments
Psycho-educational assessments help you understand your child’s academic profile. You may require an educational assessment if you are concerned about specific learning disorders, such as dyslexia, or behavioural difficulties, such as ADHD, or are wanting to determine eligibility for funding and educational support. They can also help assess for giftedness.

Behavioural Assessments
Behavioural assessments help you understand functional difficulties that may be contributing to your child’s behaviour. Your child may require a behavioural assessment if you are concerned about their ability to plan, make decisions, organise themselves, act impulsively, not sit still etc. While these behaviours may be developmentally appropriate, if they are causing severe functional difficulties then an assessment may be warranted.

Workshops & Presentations

Our psychologists are available to run mental health workshops customised to meet your specific requirements. We have run small and large group workshops about a range of mental health topics, including parenting, managing anxiety, coping with stress, chronic pain, body image, trauma, and crisis response. We’d be delighted to discuss your individual needs to see if we can help!
